Junior Project Coordinator

The Junior Project Coordinator’s primary function is to assist the Project Manager in planning, organizing, directing, controlling and evaluating all aspects of a specific project including engineering, purchasing, quality and production to ensure the finished product is delivered on time, within budget and meets customer quality expectations.

Job Responsibilities

  • Research and analyze custom design proposals, specifications, manuals and other data to evaluate the feasibility, cost and maintenance requirements of designs and applications
  • Lead and/or participate in the creation of quality documents based on drawing, requirements or design
  • Provide internal technical support to the production floor including interpretation of internal and external drawings and specification as well as troubleshooting systemic or challenging issues
  • Estimating, including material selection and Bill of Material creation
  • Work with the Project Manager in the drafting and issuance of project proposals, contracts, RFPs, tenders, budgets, schedules and general tasks
  • Professionally and efficiently assist with multiple projects on concurrently running projects with competing deadlines
  • Acquire and use practical and technical knowledge of the manufacturing processes related to food production
  • Involvement in change management activities
  • Attend project meetings
  • Field computer solving and correcting failed or inconsistent manufacturing equipment and systems
  • Assist with troubleshooting and solving problems related to process efficiency, product quality, throughput and yield
  • Engage frequently with the production team; facilitate discussions, testing and validations, contribute to design activities and decisions
  • Complete tasks related to monitoring/trending and troubleshooting manufacturing processes
  • Assist in investigations through data compilation and statistical analysis to determine root cause to atypical events
  • Compilation and analysis of process data, preparing reports and presenting results
  • Aid in measuring activity relating to new projects using quality measurement tools and documents
  • Assisting with developing, evaluation and improving manufacturing methods
  • Other duties, as assigned

Skills & Requirements

  • Post-secondary education in engineering
  • Less than two years of work experience (in addition to any co-op/internship/summer work experience)
  • Strong mechanical, pneumatic and electrical knowledge
  • Experience troubleshooting control systems such as Allen Bradley/Siemens as well as working knowledge of CAD systems
  • Strong understanding of blueprints and schematics
  • Advanced computer skills and competency in Microsoft Windows OS, Excel, Word, CAD
  • Basic knowledge of computer networking
  • Maintain a high level of accuracy and attention to detail when reviewing CAD drawings and measuring parts
  • Ability to show versatility and resourcefulness when problem-solving
  • Time management skills in order to complete tasks by the required deadlines
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage tasks efficiently while working on several different projects
  • Ability to work with a diverse workforce in a team environment
  • Have an understanding of the Occupational Health and Safety Act and Regulations as well as legislative and customer requirements for item specifications
  • Work with cross-functional teams to deliver features and projects
  • Excellent written/verbal communication and interpersonal skills
  • Must have valid driver’s licence
  • Unrestricted cross border mobility and possession of, or ability to obtain, a valid passport

Millwright Mechanic

We are currently seeking a full-time Millwright Mechanic at our 45,000 square foot production facility just off Hwy. 36 in Lindsay, Ontario.

May be required to work shifts on a rotating basis/weekend. Morning shifts start at 6:00 a.m. and afternoon shift typically starts at 2:30 p.m.

Duties

  • Responsible for Mechanical troubleshooting, repairs, installation and preventative maintenance on all production equipment/machinery.
  • Provide Mechanical support and maintenance/repair for building support systems.
  • Maintain contact and communication with Supervision and co-workers in order to ensure and report progress.
  • Respond to and complete service calls in an efficient manner.
  • Maintain compliance with all regulatory codes & requirements, company policy and procedural guidelines. Remain aware of and trained on all technical advances within the area of responsibility.
  • Work in a safe manner, utilizing proper tools and equipment for the task.
  • Utilize proper waste disposal procedures.
  • Assist and support the department in achieving and maintaining budgetary and performance goals.
  • Must possess good welding skills properly utilize various welding and cutting equipment.
  • Electrical troubleshooting and repair skills.
  • Other duties, as assigned

Skills & Requirements

  • Minimum 3- 5 years of related Millwrighting experience.
  • Ontario Millwrighting license 433A with industrial experience.
  • Ability to read, write and speak English fluently.
  • Ability to read and discern Mechanical schematics and manuals effectively.
  • Must possess strong troubleshooting, diagnostic and time management skills.
  • Ability to read and discern electrical drawings.
  • Electrical troubleshooting and repair.
  • PLC troubleshooting and diagnosing an asset.

General Labourers

We are currently seeking full-time General Labourers at our 45,000 square foot production facility just off Hwy 36 in Lindsay, Ontario.

PLEASE NOTE: YOU MUST BE AVAILABLE TO WORK SHIFTS ON A ROTATING BASIS. TYPICAL SHIFTS AT 8.5 HOURS STARTING AT 7:30 A.M., 9:30 OR 11:30 A.M.

No prior experience needed.  We will train you!

Our ideal candidate is punctual and hardworking with excellent attendance and is comfortable working with food on a fast-paced production line.

Inventory Specialist

We are currently seeking a full-time Inventory Specialist at our 45,000 square foot production facility just off Hwy. 36 in Lindsay, Ontario.

Duties:

Daily responsibilities
  • Performs cycle counts of all inventories and compares them to inventory records
  • Print shift report and verify information
  • Weigh and record ingredients from previous day’s production and maintain scrap records
  • Assist with inventory-related inquiries/issues
  • Maintain, gather and stage production supplies
  • Print, prepare and distribute documents/packages for various Production Departments
  • Attend production meetings and be accountable for inventory
Weekly responsibilities
  • Assist Supply Chain Manager in production scheduling
  • Supporting weekly scheduling activities as necessary
  • Count WIP, record numbers for Finance
  • Unload, store, organize and manage inventory of materials, as required
Monthly responsibilities
  • Maintain accurate counts of ingredients, packaging, labels, cartons, etc. at two locations
  • File production works orders once complete

Other duties, as assigned.

Skills & Requirements:

  • Ability to start at 6:30 a.m. or earlier, if needed
  • Regular, reliable, predictable attendance
  • Proficient in Excel, Word and PowerPoint
  • Experience with ERP systems (familiarity with Microsoft Dynamics NAV 2015 would be an asset)
  • Experience with IT implementations for supply chain management
  • IT troubleshooting capabilities would be an asset
  • Excellent attention to detail and well-organized
  • Ability to lift up to 24 kg may be required
  • Strong work ethic and positive attitude
