Human Resources Administrator

We are currently seeking a full-time Human Resources Administrator at our 45,000 square foot production facility just off Hwy. 36 in Lindsay, Ontario.  Reporting in to the Manager, Human Resources, this individual performs entry and intermediate level HR-related tasks.

Key Responsibilities

Recruitment
  • Performing the full recruitment lifecycle (posting job advertisements, reviewing résumés, conducting phone pre-screens, arranging interviews, sitting in on interviews, conducting reference checks)
  • Participate in job fairs and events that support employer branding initiatives
  • Assisting with new hire orientations and the onboarding process
Clerical, Filing & Reporting
  • Providing clerical and administrative support to the HR Manager
  • Maintaining employee files including filing HR related documentation
  • Ensuring payroll and IT are aware of all new and departing employees
  • Process documentation and prepare reports relating to personnel activities (staffing, recruitment, training, performance evaluations, absences, leaves etc.)
  • Tracking, documenting, and ensuring all applicable paperwork and systems updates are completed for organizational changes, i.e. position transfers/promotions/new hires
Job Descriptions, Performance Reviews, Training & Compensation
  • Coordinating and preparing materials for performance reviews
  •  Assisting with updating job descriptions for all positions
  • Aligning training needs with job descriptions
  • Supporting annual compensation process
  • Assist with developing training plans for employees, assigning training in electronic training program and monitoring training reports for completion
HR Contact
  • Providing information to managers, supervisors and employees on policies and procedures, recruitment, training and communications
  • Acting as the first point of contact for employees within the business for human resources (HR) issues and questions; guiding them to the appropriate resources
Other
  • Coordinate HR projects (meetings, training, surveys, etc.) and take minutes
  • Manage bring forward and follow up system
  • Assist with other duties and projects as assigned
The ideal candidate for the HR Administrator role will have the following qualifications:
  • Excellent administrative experience

  • Possess excellent record keeping skills and file organization; detailed and accurate

Lead Hand – Shipping Department

We are currently seeking a full-time Lead Hand for our Shipping Department at our 45,000 square foot production facility just off Hwy. 36 in Lindsay, Ontario.

DUTIES:

  • Assigning line workers to duties
  • Maintaining production flow
  • Monitoring quality
  • Maintaining accurate shipping / receiving record keeping
  • Loading and unloading trucks
  • Gathering samples and small orders
  • Having knowledge of products, brands, pallet patterns, stacking request of customer per customer
  • Having knowledge of machinery used, how to set up and change over (box maker, taper, ink jet printer, pallet wrapper and box line)
  • Receiving of goods and storing them in correct location
  • Monitoring and have current knowledge of what is in coolers, shipments and inventory
  • Assuring area is clean and tidy with only needed supplies on floor
  • Prepping loads for shipping using FIFO
  • Keeping work area clean, tidy, safe and organized
  • Regular use of forklift and pallet jack
  • Completing documents in a timely, accurate and legible manner
  • Other duties, as assigned

Inventory Control Clerk

We are  seeking a qualified candidate to join our growing team. As the Inventory Control Clerk, you will act as a link between production and finance. The Inventory Control Clerk is responsible for managing the flow of materials and supplies to various departments as well as tracking these materials and supplies in our ERP system. This role will monitor inventory levels through routine cycle counts, reconcile discrepancies and notify supervisor of any irregularities. Plan daily and weekly supplies for production and release inventory items accordingly. Directly or through manager, ensures achievement of company goals and objectives. This position participates fully in department initiatives. This position will work closely with the Controller and the Supply Chain Manager.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Responsible for staging various materials required for daily production
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of inventory areas, including unloading and storing
  • Conduct daily cycle counts and track accuracy over time
  • Investigate and troubleshoot inventory discrepancies, understanding transactions in the inventory database
  • Audit production records to ensure accuracy and explain discrepancies in inventory
  • Provide insight into inventory usage to cost accounting for bill of materials (BOMs)
  • Through routine cycle counts, assist with month-end closing of inventory
  • Assist with year end inventory count
  • Produce reports related to inventory utilizing the ERP system and/or Excel as required for Operations and Finance
  • Maintain records related to inventory and production
  • Participate in production meetings as required
  • Assist Supply Chain Manager in production scheduling
  • Support weekly scheduling activities as necessary
  • Oversee measurement and tracking of daily production scrap
  • Recommend steps to continuously improve inventory accuracy
  • Other duties as assigned

Job Requirements:

  • Candidates must be comfortable with working in the Freezer sub-zero environment, fridge or cooler and dry goods areas. Candidates must also be able to lift, push, pull and carry up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to start at 6:30 am or earlier if needed

General Labourers

We are currently seeking full-time General Labourers at our 45,000 square foot production facility just off Hwy 36 in Lindsay, Ontario.

PLEASE NOTE: YOU MUST BE AVAILABLE TO WORK SHIFTS ON A ROTATING BASIS. TYPICAL SHIFTS AT 8.5 HOURS STARTING AT 7:30 A.M., 9:30 OR 11:30 A.M.

No prior experience needed.  We will train you!

Our ideal candidate is punctual and hardworking with excellent attendance and is comfortable working with food on a fast-paced production line.

You Will Receive:

  • Can commute to Lindsay, Ontario and have reliable transportation
  • Ability to lift up to 24 kg may be required
